Seminar "Lang Son Literature and Arts 50 Years After National Reunification" - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the morning of April 28, the Lang Son Literature, Arts and Journalists Association organized a workshop on "Lang Son Literature and Arts 50 years after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); Issues and development orientations". The workshop is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. Attending the program were People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, representatives of a number of provincial departments, agencies and branches and members of the association's professional branches.

The workshop was followed by a television report summarizing 50 years of literature and art in Lang Son province after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Lang Son, the land at the head of the Fatherland, is a place where unique historical, cultural and geographical values converge. Since the country's reunification (April 30, 1975), Lang Son literature and art have inherited and promoted the brilliant achievements from the previous period, while exploiting new, multi-dimensional perspectives, achieving many important results.

Chairman of the Association of Literature, Arts and Journalists of Lang Son province presented the report to introduce the Workshop.

Accordingly, under the leadership of the Party, generations of Lang Son artists have promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity, literary and artistic works have become sharp weapons on the ideological and cultural front, arousing the endogenous strength from the cultural traditions and qualities of Lang Son people. The works vividly reflect life, contributing to the implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and building the political system in the province. From prose, poetry, photography, fine arts, music - theater to theoretical and critical research, the works have enriched the spiritual life of the people, affirming the position of Lang Son literature and art in Vietnamese culture.

The workshop received 21 scientific presentations from researchers, experts, and artists from units such as the Vietnam Institute of Literature, the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities, Thai Nguyen University of Education, Thai Nguyen Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, etc., along with management agencies and branches of the Provincial Association of Literature, Arts, and Journalists.

The presentations at the Workshop not only acknowledged the achievements but also proposed development directions such as: It is necessary to strengthen training, fostering, and creating conditions for young talents to participate in creation; Encourage breakthrough works that reflect multi-dimensional contemporary life, while preserving national cultural identity; Promote the promotion of works through digital platforms, build a database of literature and art to serve research and education; Expand exchanges with domestic and international literature and art organizations, especially the Northeastern provinces and the Vietnam Institute of Literature. Along with that, it is necessary to build programs to collect, archive and disseminate traditional cultural values, combined with local education.

The results of the Workshop "Lang Son Literature and Arts 50 Years After National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); Issues and Development Orientations" will be the scientific basis for developing policies and strategies for cultural and artistic development, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and enhancing the position of Lang Son in the flow of literature and arts nationwide.

On this occasion, 4 members with national awards in the field of literature and art received extraordinary Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 15 members received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Art Associations and 11 members received Certificates of Merit from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province for their outstanding achievements and typical contributions to Lang Son literature and art 50 years after the country's reunification.
