Workshop on orientation for Raglai language program compilation

On June 4, in Nha Trang City, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training to organize a workshop on "Orientation for compiling Raglai language program". Attending the workshop were leaders and experts of the General Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, scientists, managers, and experts from the Department of Education and Training of localities with a large number of Raglai ethnic minorities living in the province, including Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Cam Ranh, Cam Lam, Dien Khanh, and Ninh Hoa.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the current status of Raglai language use; history, language characteristics and the role of Raglai language in schools; the influence of Raglai ethnic culture on language development; policies of localities to preserve and develop the spoken and written language of the Raglai people. From there, propose to compile Raglai language programs and textbooks for appropriate levels and classes.

The workshop is part of the Ministry of Education and Training 's plan to develop and evaluate general education programs in ethnic minority languages, including Raglai, for implementation in schools.
