The conference introduction was presented by Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Cua Viet Magazine Ho Thanh Tho, highlighting: Local literary magazines have always been a place to preserve and open up the source of creativity, an effective bridge to bring local and regional cultural values to the public in a vivid, profound and emotional way, contributing to enriching spiritual life and arousing pride in national cultural identity.

In the current digital age, journalism in general and literary magazines in particular are facing profound changes. Digital transformation is not only the application of technology to optimize the process of content production and distribution, but also a comprehensive change in operational thinking, the way of approaching readers and the way newsrooms assert themselves. In that flow, literary magazines need to transform themselves to adapt, promoting their own strengths in spreading cultural values imbued with identity in the digital space.
The workshop with the theme “Honoring the cultural values of the Central region - The role of literary magazines in the digital age” aims to create a forum for literary magazines in the North Central region to exchange and share practical experiences, good practices, and creative solutions in the digital transformation process; at the same time, together reflect and discuss the responsibility and role of literary magazines in honoring, preserving and spreading the unique cultural values of the Central region in the new context.
At the workshop, the presentations clarified the roles, responsibilities as well as specific solutions that local literary magazines are implementing to connect cultural heritage with modern technology, applying digital devices to spread the cultural identity of the Central region in a creative, effective way and keeping up with the trends of the times.
Not only vividly reflecting the practice of digital transformation at local literary and artistic magazine editorial offices, many presentations also suggested positive directions for regional connectivity thinking, building and exploiting digital cultural data, promoting the strengths of specific content to increase the spread on multimedia communication platforms, such as: Creation and preservation - The role of Central literary and artistic magazines in the digital age (Hong Linh Magazine); Writers and AI (Nhat Le Magazine) raised a topical issue of whether AI can replace the role of writers and what writers need to do to avoid being obscured in the technology age?; The "storm" of AI and digital transformation of local newspapers and literary magazines (Song Huong Magazine) provided a perspective on the profound changes that technology, especially artificial intelligence, is creating in the current journalism and literary environment; Song Lam Magazine honors traditional cultural values of Nghe An in the digital age: Current situation - Actions and Solutions; Literary and artistic magazines in the work of propagating the cultural values of the Central region associated with sustainable social development (Thanh Literature and Art Magazine); Need to have a comprehensive and connected view in honoring the cultural values of the Central region (journalist Nguyen Hoan); Cua Viet Magazine in the process of digital transformation of newspapers, achieving the achievement of being in the top 7 leading units in the ranking of digital transformation of newspapers in 2024...
The workshop “Honoring the cultural values of the Central region - The role of literary magazines in the digital age” is an opportunity for local literary magazines in the North Central provinces to look back, evaluate and share practical experiences and initiatives in connecting cultural heritage - literature and art with digital technology ; discuss and propose solutions to help local literary magazines continue to affirm their role in creating a digital space rich in identity and humanity, contributing to deepening the connection between tradition - present - future, between people - art - technology in the digital age.
