(Baoquangngai.vn)- On April 16, at the Provincial General Library, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a Children's Book Presentation and Book Drawing Contest with the theme " Dien Bien - The Epic Resounds Forever".
Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dang Van Nghiep; leaders of departments, branches and sectors, and more than 250 students from primary and secondary schools representing 13 districts, towns and cities in the province.

For the book presentation contest, each team chooses one or more favorite works with thematic content praising the country, people, heroes, historical figures, and national heroes through the periods of development into performances of no more than 15 minutes. Through book presentations, convey the message about the benefits of reading books for studying, living and daily life, fostering patriotism, national pride, the aspiration to develop the country, and the bright future of the young generation.

In the drawing contest, each team drew on topics related to the Dien Bien Phu Victory, praising historical figures, national heroes through the ages, the moral example of Ho Chi Minh , praising the beauty of the homeland, country, Vietnamese people and dreams of a beautiful, happy, peaceful life in the homeland, Vietnam.
The Children's Book Presentation and Book Drawing Contest is part of a series of activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024; celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). Through the contest, the passion for painting and creative thinking of children is aroused, creating a healthy and useful playground for children to have the opportunity to exchange and learn.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, and 7 C prizes for the book presentation contest. The book drawing contest had 6 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 15 C prizes, and 20 Encouragement prizes.
