More than 1,600 people practice for the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Defense Exhibition

On the morning of November 26, at Gia Lam airport (Long Bien district, Hanoi ), more than 1,600 officers and soldiers of units of the Vietnam People's Army participated in training to prepare for the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - was present at Gia Lam airport to directly inspect the preparations.

As of November, 140 organizations from 27 countries have registered to participate with the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Vietnam International Defense Exhibition. Many countries such as China, Russia, the US, India, Israel, France, the UK, Spain... with large and modern defense industries have registered to participate in the exhibition.

Over the past month, more than 1,600 officers and soldiers, including 1,040 special forces soldiers, 210 political officers, 85 border guard dogs, 198 professional actors, 40 military bands and many singers inside and outside the army, have been urgently practicing to prepare for the important event taking place next December.

This is the first time that military dogs have participated in a performance at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition.

The opening ceremony is expected to last about 1 hour, including 30 minutes for the art program and 30 minutes for the main ceremony.

Special forces officers and soldiers participated in a martial arts performance including boxing, fighting, and the use of weapons such as machetes, batons, guns, etc.

The border guards used 80 military dogs and 80 trainers to participate in the show.

Special forces soldiers and military dogs with a formation of a five-pointed yellow star and the words DEFENCE 2024 and the number 80, symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

The art performance promises to leave many impressions on viewers with performances imbued with Vietnamese culture such as bamboo, Quan Ho melodies, folk dances...

The opening ceremony could not be without the welcome flight performance of the Vietnam Air Force with 7 SU-30MK2 fighters and 7 helicopters of various types such as Mi8, Mi171 and Mi172 belonging to Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force.

The opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will take place on the morning of December 19, with the participation of Party and State leaders and international guests. The exhibition will take place for 4 days (from December 19 to 22) at Gia Lam airport. In addition to general activities, the organizing committee will reserve a long time for people to visit the exhibition.
