According to Sammy Fans , Samsung Germany announced a cybersecurity incident that exposed the personal information of more than 270,000 customers.

This incident involved a business application used by one of Samsung's system partners, resulting in unauthorized access to customer service records.

Samsung sent an email to affected customers and said on March 29 that a business application used by one of its system partners in Germany had unauthorized access to the personal data of Samsung customers who contacted customer service regarding purchases at the Samsung online store or other service requests between November 2021 and March 2025.

"Potentially affected data includes: names and email addresses. Samsung ensures that there is no unauthorized access to customer passwords or financial data," the email said.

As soon as the issue was discovered, Samsung's system partner immediately disabled the affected app and launched an investigation into the cause.

The company has taken additional technical measures to prevent other systems from being affected. The incident has been reported to the relevant authorities.

To avoid data-related risks, Samsung recommends that customers be cautious of contacts or emails that ask for personal data or redirect to a website that requires such data. Do not click on links or download attachments from suspicious emails...
