On November 4, in response to the complicated developments of typhoon Kalmaegi, Brigade 146 (Naval Region 4) proactively deployed plans to prevent and combat the storm. This work aims to ensure absolute safety for people, vehicles and weapons in the Truong Sa special zone ( Khanh Hoa ).
Units stationed on the islands have urgently reviewed and strengthened disaster prevention and control works; fully stocked up on materials, food, and provisions.

As of noon on November 4, more than 300 fishing boats with over 3,000 fishermen had been guided to take shelter from the storm at islands with ports such as Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, and Da Tay.
