Over 4.4 billion VND to support environmental pollution reduction in livestock farming with biological products

In order to reduce environmental pollution in livestock farming, in 2025, the provincial budget will support more than 4.4 billion VND in costs for purchasing biological products to treat waste for livestock farming households in the province.

Accordingly, the provincial budget supports chicken farming households with 50% of the cost of purchasing biological products to treat waste, at a rate of 0.05 kg (liter) of product/chicken, for farming households with a scale of 500 pigs/batch or more; supports 50% of the cost of purchasing biological products to treat waste in pig farming, at a rate of 0.1 kg (liter) of product/pig for households with a scale of 10 pigs or more.

In order to carry out the assigned tasks, the Agricultural Extension Center has deployed and provided support for biological products to treat bedding for 860,000 chickens and biological products to treat waste for 7,000 pigs to treat the livestock environment in households in the province.

According to Dr. Vu Hoang Lan, Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, the use of biological products to treat livestock environments helps reduce environmental pollution in livestock households and the surrounding environment; helps livestock to be healthy and disease-free, bringing economic efficiency to poultry farming households by more than 13%, pig farming by more than 9%, and beef fattening by more than 14% compared to not using biological products. At the same time, it creates safe and environmentally friendly products.
