The conference took place from May 26-30, bringing together more than 40 scientists , researchers and students from India, Taiwan (China), Germany, Korea, China and Vietnam. Along with that, 16 international experts from France, Spain, Switzerland and the US participated online, opening an important forum for knowledge exchange on astrophysics.
One of the highlights of the SAGI 2025 Conference is the participation of the world's leading scientists who are contributing to shaping the future of space research. Among them are: Professor, Dr. Alexandre Lazarian, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, a leading expert on cosmic magnetic fields; Dr. Nguyen Trong Hien, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) (USA), who has made many contributions to research on space telescope data.
In addition, the workshop was also attended by Professor Hoang Chi Thiem, Korea Space and Astronomy Science Institute (KASI), an expert in celestial body formation model research; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Diep, Vietnam Space Center (VNSC), a pioneer in the field of astronomy in Vietnam...

The SAGI 2025 Astrophysics Conference has 43 presentations in the plenary session, revolving around key issues in modern astronomical research such as: light polarization physics and techniques, helping to study gas, dust and magnetic fields in the universe; the formation and evolution of celestial bodies, from planets, stars to galaxies and supermassive black holes. In addition, there are applications of data from leading telescopes such as ALMA, JWST, JCMT, SOFIA, supporting research on the structure and composition of the universe; connecting theory, simulation and observation, creating a solid foundation for new discoveries in astronomy.
These topics not only attract the attention of international scientists but also create strong motivation for pioneering research in Vietnam, opening up many opportunities for extensive cooperation between domestic and foreign research units.

With the support of the Vietnam Science Association, ICISE has organized many large-scale international conferences, helping to improve Vietnam's astronomical research capacity and attract cooperation from international experts. The SAGI 2025 conference is not only a place for academic exchange, but also a platform to help orient the development of astronomy in Vietnam, contributing to Vietnam's integration with global space science.
In addition to leading scientists, the conference is also an important opportunity for Vietnamese researchers and students to access the most advanced research trends. In particular, access to modern observation and simulation methods, helping to orient domestic astronomical research. In addition, this is also an opportunity to expand cooperation between young research groups and international astronomical centers.
Through the workshop, the young generation of Vietnam has the opportunity to work with leading experts, thereby developing skills and expanding scientific research potential. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for students and researchers to participate in international projects, contributing to improving the quality of research in Vietnam.
