Japan was the market that received the most Vietnamese workers in the first 5 months of the year with 29,902 workers, followed by Taiwan (China): 22,132 workers, South Korea: 4,977 workers (522 female workers), China: 1,242 workers, Singapore: 852 workers, Romania: 317 workers (16 female workers); Hungary: 507 workers and other markets.
In May 2025 alone, the number of workers going to work abroad was 13,750, including the following markets: Japan: 5,544 workers, Taiwan (China): 6,595 workers, South Korea: 735 workers, China: 237 workers, Singapore: 163 workers, Romania: 67 workers; Hungary: 70 workers and other markets.
In 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs plans to send 130,000 Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts. In addition to traditional labor markets (Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea) that will continue to be stable in 2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs is continuing to expand and develop a number of labor markets with good income and working conditions in the European region./.
