(Baothanhhoa.vn) - "Ensuring sufficient capacity to serve the construction and infrastructure development of industrial parks" - is the commitment of Mr. Hoang Hai, Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company (PC Thanh Hoa) at the working session with representatives of Dong Vang Industrial Park (IP) in Nghi Son Economic Zone (EZ) and Viet - Nhat Hop Thanh Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company (JSC), to remove difficulties and obstacles in providing electricity for infrastructure investment projects.

According to Document No. 507/CV-POWER-I-KHKT of the Central Power Grid Investment and Management Joint Stock Company on the request for power connection to serve the construction of Dong Vang Industrial Park in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa Province and Document No. 45/CV-VNHT dated May 22, 2025 of Vietnam - Japan Hop Thanh Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company, on removing difficulties and obstacles in power supply for the Investment Project of Industrial Park No. 19 in Nghi Son Economic Zone Phase 1.

At the meeting, Central Power Grid Investment and Management Joint Stock Company, the electricity infrastructure investor in Dong Vang Industrial Park, presented the capacity demand divided into two phases: by May 2025 it is 1,660 kW, and by October 2025 it is 5,470 kW. The connection point is expected to be at column 02, Anh Phat Branch, Road 373, Tinh Gia 110kV Station (E9.13).

Meanwhile, Industrial Park No. 19 has a scale of 97.8 hectares, located in Yen My commune (Nhu Thanh district) and Cong Chinh and Yen Lac communes (Nong Cong district), and is currently proposing to supply electricity in phase 1 with a total demand of up to 36,245 kVA.

Representatives of the units discussed suitable power supply plans.

The parties discussed and analyzed the current status of the power grid system and proposed technical solutions to ensure safe and continuous power supply, meeting the construction progress and infrastructure operation. According to the assessment, the 110kV Tinh Gia station (E9.13) is currently operating according to the basic wiring, the transformer carries a load of 50.7/103MVA (equivalent to 49.2% as of April 2025); Route 373 is operating at 92.4% load (305/330A). If an additional 5.47 MW is supplied to Dong Vang Industrial Park, the station load will increase to about 54.5%. With an average load growth rate of 10%/year, it is forecasted that by 2026, this line may be overloaded up to 101.6%, affecting the stability of the regional power supply.

For Industrial Park No. 19, although there is a large capacity demand, currently the nearest 110kV transformer stations such as Nhu Thanh Station (1x40MVA) and Tinh Gia 2 (2x40MVA) are operating at 70% and 80% load respectively. In addition, the distance from these stations to the industrial park is up to more than 30 km, while the current medium voltage grid is also operating at 70%, leading to difficulties in meeting the project's power demand.

From the above analysis, representatives of the parties agreed that it is necessary to research and develop a long-term and stable power supply plan for the entire region, meeting the needs of sustainable industrial development.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Hoang Hai, Director of PC Thanh Hoa, agreed: For Dong Vang Industrial Park, the maximum capacity requirement until January 2026 is 1,660 kW. In case of additional demand, it will be considered depending on the reality and capacity of the power grid system. At Industrial Park No. 19, the power supply plan is determined to be connected to the 110kV line from the 220kV Nong Cong Transformer Station. PC Thanh Hoa commits to ensuring sufficient capacity to serve the initial phase of construction and infrastructure development.

In addition, the two sides agreed that Thanh Hoa PC will be the direct electricity retailer for secondary investors in the industrial park, ensuring stable and transparent electricity supply in accordance with legal regulations. At the same time, the investor is requested to promptly provide complete relevant legal documents as a basis for surveying and reporting to the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) on investment and construction work according to the process.
