From June 6, passengers traveling on the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro can pay via Zalopay.

Urban Railway Company No. 1 said that from tomorrow (June 6), passengers on metro line No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien can use the Zalopay application to pay for tickets.

This unit said it has coordinated with Zion Joint Stock Company (Zalopay service provider) to deploy cashless payment on the metro line.

Accordingly, from June 6, 2025, passengers can use the Zalopay application to pay directly at the ticket gate at the stations on the route. During use, passengers perform the following steps: log in to their Zalopay account, select the payment code to get the QR code, then scan at the entrance and exit gates. When scanning the code at the entrance gate, Zalopay will temporarily collect 19,000 VND to confirm a valid wallet. After the trip, the system will calculate the fare based on the distance traveled and deduct the corresponding amount. The difference (if any) will be refunded by Zalopay to the passenger's ZaloPay wallet after the trip ends.

In addition, from June to December this year, the company also supports free or discounted metro tickets for students and workers in difficult circumstances.
