More than 76,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City take the 10th grade entrance exam

(PLVN) - The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said it has completed preparations for the 10th grade exam with 76,435 students taking the exam at 142 exam sites and more than 10,000 exam invigilators.

On the afternoon of June 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training informed the press about preparations for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in the area.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City has planned 142 examination sites (including 132 regular examination sites and 10 specialized examination sites) with 3,558 examination rooms; mobilized more than 10,000 teachers as examination invigilators and 2,070 service staff. At each examination site, 3 additional backup rooms are arranged to handle special and arising cases.

This year's exam will take place over two days - June 6 and June 7. Candidates will take the exams in Literature, Math, Foreign Language and specialized/integrated subjects. This school year, the whole city has 88,966 9th grade students expected to graduate from junior high school, of which 76,435 students registered for the 10th grade entrance exam, 12,531 students did not participate (including 949 students admitted directly).

To organize the exam safely and seriously, the Department has proactively coordinated closely with 14 departments, branches, sectors and units, comprehensively implementing in many fields: security - safety, health - medical, technical infrastructure, traffic... to effectively implement the direction of the City People's Committee, create the most favorable conditions for candidates and ensure the exam is successful.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training also gave advice to candidates: focus on reviewing; prepare all required documents and be on time at the exam site; rest properly and keep a relaxed spirit.

Meanwhile, to ensure the exam takes place safely and effectively, the City Police have proactively developed and implemented a plan to ensure exam security and safety; arranging nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers to participate.

Police units and localities proactively coordinate with school principals to organize propaganda and mobilize students and parents to comply with traffic laws, fire prevention and fighting safety; arrange appropriate travel time, ensure on time according to school rules and regulations, and exam regulations.

In addition, coordinate with the Examination Councils to proactively check the security and safety of equipment serving the exam; grasp the situation, review and check the information of candidates to prevent and handle the behavior of hiring and taking exams for others; the use of high-tech equipment to cheat in the exam will be strictly handled.
