More than 99% of Long Bien residents agree with the plan to rearrange wards.

On the morning of April 21, Long Bien district completed the results of collecting public opinions on the plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units in the area. The detailed figures show a very high consensus among the people.

According to the arrangement plan, the current 13 wards of Long Bien district and a small part of two communes of Bat Trang and Co Bi in Gia Lam district have been arranged into 4 new basic administrative units (wards) with the expected names: Long Bien, Viet Hung, Bo De, Phuc Loi.

Of these, the largest new ward is Long Bien ward, the smallest is Phuc Loi ward. Viet Hung ward is the second largest in scale, and is expected to use the District Party Committee - District People's Committee headquarters as the new headquarters.

13 wards of Long Bien district have simultaneously started collecting public opinions since April 19. By 4:00 p.m. on April 20, the wards had completed collecting opinions, compiled statistics and sent reports to the district.

According to the synthesis results of the People's Committee of Long Bien district, the total number of permanent households in the district is 83,014 households. The total number of households participating in the survey is 82,700 households, this is also the total number of survey ballots issued and collected. The total number of valid ballots is 82,647, there are 53 invalid ballots. As a result, there are 82,298 votes agreeing with the above plan to arrange the wards, reaching a rate of 99.14%.

In addition, 98.51% of households residing in Long Bien district agreed with the new ward name plan as mentioned above.

For both contents of the opinion collection, the support rate of the people in the lowest wards was also from 95% or more. In particular, for the arrangement plan, the ward with the highest support rate was Duc Giang with a rate of 99.85%; while the ward with the highest support rate for the plan to name the new wards Phuc Loi with a rate of 99.66%.
