Honda Vietnam produces first ICON e: electric motorbike in Vinh Phuc

With the goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030 and moving towards zero net emissions by 2050, after a period of research, testing and production, Honda Vietnam has launched its first electric motorbike model called ICON e:

ICON e electric motorbike: first launched at the Vietnam Automobile and Motorcycle Show 2024, received attention with its youthful, modern design and a series of outstanding safety features.

The vehicle is equipped with an explosion-proof Lithium-ion battery, meeting IP67 standards, easy to remove and flexible to charge directly on the vehicle or separately. The advanced CBS combined braking system of the ICON e vehicle: helps shorten the braking distance and increase safety, along with a high-end LED lighting system to enhance lighting, providing maximum peace of mind when traveling.

In addition, the car also has a spacious trunk with a capacity of 26 liters, two convenient front compartments, integrated USB type A charging port to bring a comfortable and convenient experience to users.

The entire production process of the ICON e: electric motorbike is strictly controlled, ensuring that every detail achieves the highest precision. Each completed vehicle undergoes a rigorous inspection process according to Honda standards and Vietnamese law, ensuring product safety and stable operation. The ICON e: electric motorbike is expected to be available on the market in April 2025.

At the launch ceremony of the first ICON e: electric motorbike in Vinh Phuc , Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong assessed that the ICON e: electric motorbike is an important step of Honda Vietnam from producing motorbikes using traditional gasoline fuel to electric vehicles, using green technology in line with the zero net emission strategy of the Government and the province.

Recognizing Honda Vietnam's contributions to the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc province in recent times, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong requested the enterprise to continue to closely follow the Government 's policies and orientations in developing new, environmentally friendly vehicle lines; researching and expanding the production scale of electric and hybrid vehicles in Vinh Phuc.

At the same time, Vinh Phuc province affirmed that it will continue to make efforts to improve the investment and business environment, recommending that competent authorities have appropriate incentive policies for environmentally friendly vehicles, creating favorable conditions for Honda Vietnam's projects to be implemented smoothly.
