Former member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Van Giau; Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Huan, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; former Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Management Board of the An Giang Talent Support Fund Nguyen Huu Khanh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Dang Thi Hoa Ray; Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy and other provincial leaders of all periods attended the ceremony.
The An Giang Talent Support Fund was founded by former Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Khanh. Since its inception, the fund has carried out practical work, contributing to human resource training, nurturing talents, and serving the socio -economic development of the province.
After 15 years of establishment and development, the An Giang Talent Support Fund has mobilized over 14.5 billion VND from organizations, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province. From the main source of funding using bank interest rates, the fund has supported, assisted, and rewarded 2,150 outstanding individuals in many fields with a total amount of nearly 12 billion VND. Of which, there are 810 high school students; 1,166 university and college students; 31 graduate students, postgraduate students; 143 outstanding individuals who are managers, teachers, lecturers, coaches, artists, farmers, workers, etc. Up to now, the remaining capital of the An Giang Talent Support Fund is over 16.5 billion VND, which is managed, preserved, and developed sustainably.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy highly appreciated the spirit of community service and the noble human values that members of An Giang Talent Support Fund have contributed to the province over the past 15 years. The leader of the Provincial People's Committee said that the current organizational structure of An Giang Talent Support Fund is suitable for practical requirements and is completely capable and has the conditions to effectively organize and implement activities according to the functions and objectives that An Giang Talent Support Fund has determined.
On behalf of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy hopes that, by being humane and creative, the An Giang Talent Support Fund will continue to maintain and promote enthusiasm, accompany and support students to confidently conquer knowledge. At the same time, promote communication work to spread the value and meaning of the fund, helping people and businesses clearly understand the principles and purposes. From there, proactively participate in contributing as well as introducing worthy subjects to receive support from the fund. Further strengthen the connection with educational and training institutions and management units to proactively discover talents, support at the right time, and with the right people.
In addition, coordinate with departments, organizations, and localities to promote the work of mobilizing and building funds towards sustainable socialization; connect with individuals and organizations, especially successful individuals who have received support and assistance from the An Giang Talent Support Fund to call for contributions according to conditions and capabilities, thereby creating a circle of sharing and sustainable support values. The An Giang Talent Support Fund needs to have stronger connections with individuals and organizations with conditions, especially businesses to nurture talents, support start-up activities for the young generation, and contribute to building the homeland and the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, former Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the An Giang Talent Support Fund Nguyen Huu Khanh shared: “Over the past 15 years, the An Giang Talent Support Fund has helped many people in difficult circumstances and fates to achieve their dreams with faith and love. The Board of Directors of the Fund would like to express their deep gratitude to the groups and individuals who have accompanied and contributed to the fund's operations over the past time. Through that, we hope that the An Giang Talent Support Fund will continue to spread the spirit of "support" more strongly, so that more and more young people have the opportunity to reach out, conquer their dreams, and contribute to building An Giang to become more and more prosperous. In particular, the generations who have been "supported" will continue to extend that loving arm, adding motivation to new dreams that are taking shape...".
