Continuing the signing program, within the framework of the 8th International Conference of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network (GGP) in the Asia- Pacific region, on the afternoon of September 13, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark signed a cooperation agreement with Khorat Geopark, Thailand. Attending the signing ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tan Van, senior expert of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network; Mr. Sam Viet An, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang; Ms. Nattinee Thongdee, Director of Khorat Geopark, Thailand.

Sharing at the signing ceremony, the representative of Khorat Geopark said: Khorat Geopark is recognized as the second global geopark in Thailand and is known as the land of fossils. Through today's signing, the two geoparks will have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other. This sharing is very useful because the members of Khorat Geopark are all university lecturers and experienced geological researchers to share with Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark. At the same time, Khorat Geopark also hopes that Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark will share its experiences in implementing community-oriented activities and awareness-raising activities for students that Cao Bang is implementing very effectively.
On the side of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared that, starting from the APGN 7 Conference held at Khorat Geopark in Thailand, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark was very impressed with Khorat Geopark and realized the similarities between the two geoparks in the Southeast Asian region. Cao Bang province has learned from the experience of organizing international conferences from Khorat and wishes to have cooperation programs with Khorat Geopark. The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang added that Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark was recognized in 2018, and always complies with the criteria and recommendations set forth by UNESCO. At the same time, he believes that the signing will open a new direction for specific activities of the two geoparks as well as enhance cultural and tourism exchanges and sharing between the two countries of Vietnam and Thailand.

At the end of the signing ceremony, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark hoped that the two Geoparks would soon implement practical and effective activities; hoping that Khorat Geopark Thailand would have interesting experiences and profound memories at the 8th APGN Conference in Cao Bang.
