With the desire to provide the market with delicious, clean, and safe foods, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thoan researched, learned, and came up with the idea of ​​raising probiotic chickens. After many years of implementation, the probiotic chicken brand has become familiar to consumers nationwide, bringing in billions of dong in revenue each year for the cooperative.

Having raised chickens like many other local farmers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thoan (Minh Phu commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi ) realized that if she only raised chickens normally, it would be difficult to sell them at a good price and it was not safe, so she tried to find her own way by raising chickens with herbs.

Ms. Thoan said that the farm has an area of ​​about 1.5 hectares, applying a circular agricultural farming process, designed according to a biological treatment process, divided into many different areas, including a broiler chicken coop, a feed processing area, a brooding chicken area, and different types of chickens are also raised in separate areas.

The farm started operating in late 2016. By 2022, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thoan mobilized a number of households in the commune to establish Thu Thoan Microbial Chicken Cooperative. The cooperative currently has 7 members, developing a model with an area of ​​about 1.5 hectares, raising more than 5,000 chickens of various types (silk chicken, chicken...).

Compared to the conventional farming method she used before, the biggest difference of this model is the food and biological bedding.

To improve the quality of the chicken flock, the cooperative has selected herbs and organic products to supplement the feed such as: Phyllanthus urinaria, Eclipta prostrata, black garlic, Gotu kola, ginseng, angelica, turmeric, corn, bean dregs, etc. All are ground into powder, each type is separate, and only when it is fermented to make feed for the chicken flock is it mixed in proportion. Thanks to the addition of herbal ingredients to the daily diet, the chicken flock has good resistance and is less susceptible to disease.

The chickens on the farm are free to run around and eat a variety of foods made from vegetables and herbs.

For the treatment of animal waste, the entire floor of the chicken coop is made from rice husks, sawdust mixed with microorganisms, thanks to which the farm has almost no odor.

After use, the pads will be collected and composted into organic fertilizer for the vegetable and medicinal plant growing area of ​​the cooperative, so there will be no waste discharged into the environment.

During the first 3 years of starting her business, Ms. Thoan had to move the farm many times and encountered many difficulties in the consumption stage. She persistently pursued her passion and proactively sought more customers to sell her products. Up to now, the cooperative has been operating stably and its products are favored by consumers.

To expand the consumption market, Ms. Thoan also learned and researched how to post sales through websites, Facebook and social networking sites to help customers know more about the cooperative's clean chicken and egg products.

After finishing work at the farm, Ms. Thoan takes the opportunity to post sales on social networking sites to find more customers and increase income for the cooperative.
