Regarding the Suoi Tien-Thuy Yen Lake Eco-Tourism Area's violations in its operations reported by VNA reporters on July 24, Director of Thuy An Agricultural Cooperative Mai Dinh Sac said the tourist area stopped selling tickets and operating beaches in areas A and B from July 26.
On July 25, Thuy An Agricultural Cooperative (investor of Suoi Tien-Thuy Yen Lake Eco -tourism Project, Chan May-Lang Co Commune, Hue City) notified employees and business households about the temporary suspension of business activities at the tourist area.
Staff and businesses in the tourist area cleaned up, dismantled advertising signs and office supplies, and stored them carefully. Boat drivers anchored their boats and secured them to avoid collisions. Beach owners arranged stalls and moved items on July 26 for the boats to transport; the boats were then hoisted ashore to avoid storms.
Mr. Mai Dinh Sac said that the cooperative is preparing documents for investment policy issuance to implement the project and procedures related to licensing the operation of Suoi Tien - Thuy Yen Lake Eco-tourism Area.
Regarding this issue, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chan May-Lang Co Cai Commune, Le Chinh Dao, said that in the coming time, the unit will invite relevant departments, branches and units to a meeting about the contents recently reported by the press.
Previously, VNA reporters reported on July 24 that the Suoi Tien - Thuy Yen Lake Eco-tourism Project's operation within the protection area of the Thuy Yen reservoir irrigation works will expire from October 2023.
However, to date, the license has not been approved but the project is still operating openly, including transporting passengers across Thuy Yen Lake and there are many safety issues that need to be resolved./.
