Hung Yen: Every day, there are over 130 tons of household waste that have not been collected and treated.

Currently, the total amount of domestic waste generated in the province is about 787 tons/day. Of which, about 653 tons/day is collected and treated, accounting for about 83% of the total amount of waste generated.

Regarding the current status of applying technology to treat household waste, landfilling still accounts for the highest rate at 65.1%. Next is treatment by burning in specialized furnaces, accounting for about 25%, the remaining 9.9% of organic waste is treated at the source by households to make fertilizer.
