According to Hungary Today , the country's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that further escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel could be avoided.

Tehran launched a major airstrike on Israel on the evening of April 13 in response to an airstrike on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus earlier in April. While Israel has neither confirmed nor denied responsibility, its Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, has said Israel attacked “enemies across the Middle East.”

Iran has warned that an Israeli military response to Tehran's attacks would lead to even greater escalation, while West Jerusalem is said to be weighing its options.

According to RT , Foreign Minister Szijjarto said that he discussed the situation with his Russian and UAE counterparts, Sergey Lavrov and Abdullah bin Zeyed Al Nahyan, on the evening of April 14. In a statement, Foreign Minister Szijjarto stressed: “Based on our discussions, I see that Hungary is not the only country ready to prevent the spread of conflict in the Middle East. There is still a chance to avoid the spread of the escalation of the situation. However, this will only be possible if all important players in world politics behave responsibly in the coming period.”

Foreign Minister Szijjarto also said that Budapest “strongly condemns” Iran’s missile attack on Israel, as it “threatens to escalate the conflict” and poses a serious threat to global security. He also expressed this view to Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on April 14, and said that Hungary opposes any action that further escalates tensions.

For his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on April 15 that the international community needs to address Israel's "aggressive policy" in the Middle East, as the entire region is currently unstable.

“Israel, through its actions, is dragging Lebanon and the entire region into war, and the UN Security Council should take measures to prevent this,” Prime Minister Mikati said at a government meeting, according to Lebanon 24 news portal. Mikati stressed that the Lebanese government regularly informs the UN Security Council about Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory. “We do not support war, we cannot remain silent in the face of Israeli attacks and violations of Lebanese airspace,” he pointed out.

On the same day, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over the escalation in the Middle East and called on Iran and Israel to exercise restraint following the missile attack on Israel on April 13. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry also called on the United Nations Security Council to respond promptly to the escalation of the conflict to prevent it from spreading to the Middle East. Indonesia emphasized the fair settlement of the Palestinian issue through the realization of the two-state solution, saying that this would be the key to maintaining regional stability.

Meanwhile, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration had "completely destroyed Israel's deterrence capabilities" following Iran's attack on the country.

Speaking on social network X on April 15, Mr. Yair Lapid also accused that under Prime Minister Netanyahu, the violence of Jews against Palestinians in the West Bank has "gone out of control"; Prime Minister Netanyahu has caused devastation from the Gaza Strip to the northern border with Lebanon. Mr. Yair Lapid called for early elections in Israel.

The move by the Israeli opposition leader came two days after Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones into Israeli territory in retaliation for an airstrike believed to have been carried out by Israel on the consular building at the Iranian Embassy in Syria on April 1.
