Over the period of implementing the New Rural Development Program, the appearance of rural areas has improved significantly. Cultural, health and educational activities have been increasingly focused on; the environment and rural landscape have changed; political security, order and social safety in rural areas have been maintained.

In the period of 2021-2025, Long An province (old) mobilized nearly 280,000 billion VND. Of which, the direct budget support capital was nearly 2,000 billion VND, the combined capital was more than 6,000 billion VND, the credit capital was more than 266,000 billion VND, the enterprise capital was nearly 117,000 billion VND, the capital mobilized from people and the community was more than 1,000 billion VND. Investing in developing socio-economic infrastructure; restructuring the agricultural sector, developing the rural economy , collective economy, improving vocational training for rural workers; sustainable poverty reduction; improving the quality of education, health care, culture in rural areas, etc.

By early 2025, the total number of poor households was 2,692 (accounting for 0.56%); the number of near-poor households was 7,358 (accounting for 1.52%). The number of people participating in health insurance reached 94.2%, the number of trained workers had jobs reached more than 90%,... Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (Khanh Hung commune) shared: "Most of the inter-commune roads are paved with asphalt, concrete, flowers are planted on both sides of the road, and lighting is installed. People travel and transport goods conveniently, everyone is excited and happy with the changes in the locality".

Continue to mobilize resources for implementation

People join hands to contribute money and effort to participate in building new rural areas.

Thanks to the New Rural Development Program, the rural appearance has improved a lot, the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved. This is an important premise for the province to complete the set goals. Mr. Tran Van Tay (Vam Co commune, Tay Ninh province) said: "Through the movement of the commune, people actively participate in the New Rural Development Program, install lighting, plant flowers to create environmental landscapes; together contribute to building and expanding rural roads, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and transport agricultural products".

To continue effectively implementing the New Rural Development Program after 2025, the Provincial People's Committee recommends that the Government and central ministries and branches promptly issue synchronous mechanisms and policies to implement the program in 2025, so that localities can deploy and implement it from 2026, especially mechanisms and policies related to the commune criteria set; mobilize, manage and use capital sources; at the same time, it is necessary to unify the competent agency implementing the program from the central to the commune level. Regarding the functions of the program implementation agency, it is necessary to specifically stipulate that only state administrative agencies have the legal capacity to preside over advising and proposing to Party committees and authorities to issue mechanisms, policies and solutions to implement the program as well as inspect and supervise the implementation of issued mechanisms and policies./.
