Cu Lao Dung district completed ahead of schedule and exceeded the target of implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

On the basis of receiving, thoroughly grasping and implementing the directives of the superiors, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Cu Lao Dung district has coordinated with the departments, branches and organizations of the district to advise on the issuance of decisions and directives, guiding the Steering Committees of communes and towns to implement. At the same time, mobilize and allocate resources from the National Target Programs for socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas and other social resources to effectively support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district.

Through the synthesis of the initial screening results, the total number of households in need of housing support in the district is 364 (231 new houses, 133 repaired houses). However, during the construction process, some households did not receive support, some households did not have land to build, and some households were left out. The District Steering Committee directed the communes and towns in the district to re-screen, and through the synthesis, the whole district has 382 households (239 new houses, 143 repaired houses) needing support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total funding requirement for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses of over 18.6 billion VND. Currently, 382 houses have been started to be built and put into use, reaching 100% of the plan; compared to the target assigned by the province, it exceeded 4.94% (382/364 houses) and was completed 2 months ahead of the assigned time...

At the conference, localities shared experiences, methods, solutions, and ways to effectively implement the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. At the same time, beneficiaries expressed their joy and happiness when receiving support for the house.

She requested that the locality continue to pay attention and closely monitor the situation to promptly care for policy households and poor households in the area. The district has completed 100% of the plan and targets set out in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, but it does not stop there, it is necessary to continue to promote the achieved results, and housing care must continue to be implemented.
