Having faced each other 40 times on the tennis court with a head-to-head record in Nadal’s favor (24-16), the two former world No. 1s now embark on a new battle, this time on the golf course. From their familiar forehands and backhands, the duo tested their swings on the green grass of Pula Golf Resort.
If Nadal’s image on the golf course has become familiar, with his experience participating in many amateur and handicap tournaments, Federer is equally impressive. The “Express Train” appeared extremely calm, comfortable and read the line like a professional golfer.
No longer the tense battles of the past, the golf exchange took place in an atmosphere filled with laughter, preserving the relaxing and bonding moments of both.

On his personal Instagram, Federer excitedly shared a photo of himself and Nadal holding a golf club, with a challenging caption: "Anyone want to compete with the two of us?".
The post quickly received more than 1 million likes, along with a series of comments from sports stars, including skier Lindsey Vonn and tennis player Casper Ruud.
The golf session also concluded Federer's surprise visit to the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor (Mallorca), part of a series of activities that fans happily call the "Big 3 Summer Tour".

A week earlier, Federer was at Wimbledon to watch Novak Djokovic play. He also joined Djokovic and Andy Murray at a special tribute to Nadal at Roland Garros 2025 in May.
Retiring from 2022, Federer ended his glorious career with 1,251 wins - 275 losses, bringing home 20 Grand Slam titles and a record 8 Wimbledon championships. Meanwhile, "King of Clay" Nadal said goodbye to tennis after 1,080 wins - 228 losses, owning 22 Grand Slam titles, notably a record 14 Roland Garros championships.
Although they have left their peak days behind, the duo continues to write their story of friendship and legendary legacy, from historic courses and now meaningful rounds of golf.
