Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne dies

Ozzy Osbourne - lead singer of legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, according to an announcement from his family.

The famous singer, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, died just over two weeks after his farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham, England. His family announced that Ozzy Osbourne passed away on the morning of July 22 (local time).

Born on December 3, 1948 in Birmingham, Ozzy Osbourne's real name is John Michael Osbourne. He is considered a pioneer of heavy metal music when the band Black Sabbath achieved great commercial success in the 1970s.

He brought his illustrious career to a close in early July when Black Sabbath performed their greatest hits in front of a raucous crowd at Villa Park - home of Premier League side Aston Villa.
