On May 15, the Inspection and Supervision Team for State Management of Food Safety in Districts, Towns, and Provincial Cities (Inspection Team) conducted an inspection of State Management of Food Safety (FS) in 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025 in Tien Lu District.

The inspection team worked with the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety of Tien Lu district.

Tien Lu district has 865 food establishments. In 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, the People's Committee of the district and communes and towns established 76 interdisciplinary inspection teams on food safety, conducting inspections of 1,025 establishments producing, processing, trading food and catering services, and collective kitchens in the area. There were 30 establishments that violated the provisions of the law on food safety and were administratively fined with a total amount of over 23 million VND. The district quickly tested borax and pesticide residues, and nitrate nitrogen for 26 samples of ham and sausage, with 26 samples being negative. The delegation recommended that the district continue to strictly implement and guide and direct the People's Committees of communes and towns to implement the central and provincial documents on strengthening the responsibility of state management of food safety; strengthen coordination and strictly handle organizations and individuals involved in the production and trade of fake medicines, fake milk and fake health protection foods. Regularly coordinate with specialized agencies of the province to take food samples to test food safety quality. Improve inspection and supervision activities, promptly detect, recall and strictly handle violations of unsafe food. Fully update the list of food establishments in the district according to the management hierarchy.
