Talking about the preparation of the HCMC Women's Club for this year's tournament, Coach Nguyen Hong Pham said: "After the national championship season, we rested for a few days and then returned to training and practice. We had a week of training in Hanoi with two matches against the Vietnam Women's Team. The good news is that all the athletes, all the team members are in a state of readiness, with the highest determination to achieve the best results for the qualifying round. We focus on each match, trying to complete the target."

Last season, the HCMC Women's Club stopped at the semi-finals when they lost to Wuhan Jiangda. Speaking more clearly about the team's target when returning to the 2025/2026 Asian Women's C1, Mr. Pham shared: "We set the target this season to achieve results as deep as possible. That means we will try our best to win every match, like breaking the curse last year, reaching the semi-finals, we will go deeper".

According to the regulations of the 2025/2026 Asian Women's Club Cup, each participating team can register a maximum of 6 foreign players, and Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has signed 6 foreign players. Specifically, 4 players from the US include the central defenders Aubrey Goodwill and Gorman Chloe and 2 midfielders Sakura Yoshida and Tatiana Mason. Fullback Ouni Samia (Tunisian) and Pakistani player Maria Khan (living in the US) are the 2 remaining foreign players.

Tatiana Mason played for HCMC Women's Club in the group stage of the 2024-2025 Asian Women's Club Cup. Entering the semi-finals, Aubrey Goodwill, Sakura Yoshida and Maria Khan also appeared. With up to 4 foreign players who played alongside HCMC Women's Club last season, it will not take them long to get back into the team.

"We are also lucky to have four former members who have joined the team and two new foreign players. The good news is that they have integrated very quickly and very well in training as well as in daily life, especially with the connection of player Huynh Nhu," said coach Nguyen Hong Pham.

Besides foreign players, HCMC Women's Club also has the return of goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh and midfielder Hoai Luong. This is a quality addition to the team's domestic players.

"The strength of our team is the strength of a collective, which was shown in the quarter-final match of last season. I firmly believe that we will continue to promote our strengths of solidarity, determination, and never giving up. We all have the same goal of achieving the best results in each match and for this tournament," affirmed coach Nguyen Hong Pham.

Continuing coach Nguyen Hong Pham's words, striker Huynh Nhu added: "The whole team now welcomes back old friends and also has two new friends who bring a very exciting and joyful atmosphere to the training sessions. Huynh Nhu believes that this is the motivation for the players of the HCMC Women's Club to make more efforts and compete even harder. With four friends returning, this is also a very favorable thing because they have integrated very quickly, both in daily life and training. Huynh Nhu believes that in this tournament, everyone will see a HCMC Women's Club with a new breeze and will compete even more enthusiastically."

On the same day, aiming towards the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) in Thailand, the MV "Sound of Victory", a music and film project honoring the sportsmanship and the desire to conquer of the Vietnamese people, was also announced.

The MV is expected to continue the success of Let's Shine - the theme song of the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, which won First Prize in the Video Clip category at the 2022 National Award for Foreign Information presented by the Central Propaganda Department.

MC will officially go on air tomorrow morning.

The Sound of Victory recreates the journey of finding inner strength of Vietnamese athletes through the language of cinema. Each frame captures a real slice of the training process – from sweat drops, footsteps, breathing to the moment of reaching the pinnacle of glory. All sounds were recorded live during filming, creating a “symphony of effort” – where the sound of fatigue turns into the rhythm of desire.

The production crew representative said that the MV does not tell the story at the finish line but focuses on the journey of overcoming one's own limits, sending the message that "true victory" comes from will, discipline and the spirit of never giving up.

The project is a message of encouragement for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to participate in the 33rd SEA Games, spreading the spirit of Solidarity - Breakthrough - Play hard - Fearless, and at the same time inspiring Vietnamese youth to dare to challenge and dare to move forward.
