Indonesia removes coach Shin Tae-yong's name

PSSI (Indonesian Football Federation) President Erick Thohir confirmed that former head coach Shin Tae-yong will not return to lead the Indonesian national team in the future.

In his latest statement, Mr. Thohir said that the PSSI board of directors removed coach Shin from the list of candidates for the position of head coach of the national team. "Shin Tae-yong is a thing of the past. The possibility of him returning is 0%," Mr. Thohir said in a meeting on October 23.

Mr. Thohir also made it clear that the PSSI board of directors wanted to bring in a new head coach who could implement a more comprehensive national team development strategy, instead of just returning to old solutions. This was part of the reason why Coach Shin was removed from the list.
