Recently, at the WWDC 2024 event, Apple introduced iOS 18 with many outstanding features such as Apple Intelligence. Thanks to this application set, users can automatically record and transcribe their phone calls directly through the iPhone application without using third-party applications.
To use the call recording feature, users first need to make sure that their device has been updated to iOS 18 or later. Note that iOS 18 is currently in Beta and the official version will be released this fall. However, you can still experience this feature right now by joining Apple's beta program.

When you have an incoming or outgoing call, you will see a “record call” option appear on the screen. Just tap on this icon to start recording. It is worth noting that when you enable this feature, the person on the other end of the line will receive a notification that the call is being recorded. They can choose to accept or decline the recording. If they agree, the iOS 18 system will start recording the conversation. This notification feature is to ensure transparency and respect the privacy of both parties on the call.
In the future, Apple is expected to add a call settings option in the phone settings of iOS 18, allowing users to customize whether to automatically enable the "Call Recording" feature or manually enable it when needed.
In addition, the iPhone app also offers a call history search interface, auto-filling of numbers as the user starts entering digits, and the option to seamlessly switch Sim cards.
It is understood that Apple is now planning to bring similar recording and transcription features to the Notes app so that users can record and receive recordings directly on iPhone 12 and later.
