According to Bild , Kane's release clause is £57 million, a reasonable figure for a striker in top form in Europe. However, this clause can only be activated if Kane proactively announces his departure from Bayern before January 2026.
When the clause expires, the former Tottenham striker will remain with Bayern until the end of his current contract, which runs until 2027.
Bayern have rarely included release clauses in their contracts in the past, but this has changed in recent years. In addition to Kane, Kim Min-jae is also said to have a release clause of £88m, while talent Jamal Musiala has a clause of up to £153m, but will drop to £88m in 2029.
Kane remains happy with life in Munich, saying in September: “We can absolutely talk about an extension. I still have almost two years left on my contract. No one at Bayern is worried - they are happy with me, and I am happy here.”
Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 from Tottenham for a fee of £86 million. The English striker scored 105 goals in 109 games, helping the "Bavarian Tigers" win the Bundesliga title last season.
