Coach Kim Sang-sik decided to call up Nguyen Xuan Son of Nam Dinh Club to the Vietnam national team in the training session next November, preparing for the match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Xuan Son returned to the Vietnam national team after more than 8 months of treatment for a broken leg.

According to a source from Nam Dinh Club, Xuan Son has almost fully recovered and is eligible to compete in the National Cup, specifically the match against Long An on November 23.

But he cannot play in V.League in November, because the player registration deadline for phase 2 of the tournament only starts from January 25, 2026.

According to plan, the Vietnamese team will gather in Hanoi on November 10, then train in Phu Tho until November 14 and go to Laos to compete on November 15.
