To expand employment opportunities for students after graduation, vocational training institutions in the province have conducted surveys on labor market trends to train according to demand and train according to business orders. At the same time, strengthen cooperation between schools and businesses to expand occupations, promote training of high-quality human resources, meet the needs of the labor market, and avoid widespread training leading to "supply exceeding demand".
Typically, Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering implements a "dual training" model through signing cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign enterprises such as Korea, Japan, China... to cooperate in training and exchange students during the study process.
Based on the cooperation between the school and the enterprise, the two sides have organized for students to participate in experiences and practice at enterprises; coordinated to build training outlines and evaluate skills according to output standards. The close connection with enterprises in training helps the school to build theoretical modules at the school combined with practice at enterprises.
In addition, the school sends teachers directly to the field, participates in international training courses and invites excellent managers and scientists from businesses to teach directly. Thanks to that, students grasp knowledge right in the learning process, improve creativity, practical skills, self-study skills, independent thinking and self-worth; the teaching staff is improved in their ability to update new technology trends in teaching.
Hoang Huu Viet, a former student of Vinh Phuc College of Technology, currently working at Arcadyan Company Limited, Thang Long 3 Industrial Park (Binh Xuyen), shared: “During my studies at Vinh Phuc College of Technology, we had the opportunity to practice at a number of enterprises in the field of study, helping us gain experience and practical knowledge in operating production machinery, and being trained in professional and modern working style. Thanks to that, after completing the course, I was highly appreciated and recruited by Aracadyan Company Limited.”
From the 2023 - 2024 school year, Vinh Phuc College of Engineering and Technology has signed memorandums of understanding with nearly 20 enterprises inside and outside the province such as CNCTech Thang Long Joint Stock Company (Binh Xuyen), Vietnam Precision Industry Company Limited 1 (Vinh Yen) ... to establish comprehensive cooperative relationships in training, supplying, recruiting and introducing jobs for students based on the principle of mutual benefit.
At the same time, 10 contracts were signed to send students to experience and intern at businesses in and outside the province in accordance with their training fields. Synchronously implementing solutions to improve training quality, the rate of students having jobs after graduation reached over 80%; in which, many students were recruited by businesses right from the final year of the course.
In addition to innovating the organization of training programs, every year, at the end of the school year, the College of Agricultural Mechanics (Binh Xuyen) has coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize a Job Fair and a job exchange session to provide consultation and recruitment, creating conditions for students to connect directly with businesses that are recruiting in many fields and professions. At the same time, creating conditions for students to be consulted and discussed about career opportunities, recruitment processes and conditions; instructing interview answering skills...
Teacher Nguyen Manh Toan, Deputy Director of the Recruitment and Job Introduction Center, College of Agricultural Mechanics said: “Through the organization of the Job Fair, students can easily access job positions; exchange necessary and useful information about career opportunities, recruitment processes and conditions at businesses. Through this, the school can survey the labor recruitment needs and occupations that businesses need; from there, build a training plan to meet the requirements of the labor market in the next school year”.
In the coming time, vocational training institutions in the province will continue to promote training cooperation programs associated with the labor needs of enterprises; on that basis, orient the program, teaching methods, invest in teaching equipment to contribute to training high-quality human resources, gradually increasing the rate of workers with jobs after training.
