This is one of the events in a series of programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The program is organized by the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in coordination with other organizations.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward Nguyen Hong Trang shared that the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is an opportunity to recall the historical milestones of the nation, to arouse national pride and patriotism. Through the exhibition space "A strip of mountains and rivers", national pride is spread even more strongly. "I believe that these efforts not only affirm the love for the homeland and islands, but also contribute to educating and fostering national pride for today's and future generations, adding more internal strength to the country's new development journey in the era of strong growth for peace , creativity and integration", Ms. Nguyen Hong Trang expressed.
The photo exhibition “A strip of mountains and rivers” displays 50 unique photographic works on the sacred territorial sovereignty of the Fatherland, recording the geographical extreme points and sovereignty markers on the mainland and offshore islands, especially images of the life and duties of the military and civilians on the Truong Sa archipelago. Each work not only has artistic value, but also conveys a sacred message: The sea and islands are the soul of the Fatherland.
In addition to displaying photos, the exhibition also introduces the photo book "The Sea of Human Hearts" - a passionate project of author Tran Thanh published by the Information and Communication Publishing House. The work was nurtured after 12 business trips of the author to Truong Sa. "The Sea of Human Hearts" tells stories through images, sounds and emotions, giving readers a realistic and profound experience. On each page of the book, in addition to photos and captions, there is also an electronic version with QR codes, leading readers to documents such as videos, stories, or films recording life on the islands. The profound and vivid images will open up a realistic scene of Truong Sa, leading readers through many emotional journeys.
In particular, the exhibition also devoted a part of its content to introducing the HiGreen Truong Sa community program - an initiative for a sustainable Truong Sa. The activity was implemented by the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) in coordination with the Navy with the goal of planting 1 million trees in the Truong Sa special zone (Khanh Hoa province). This is a meaningful activity, contributing to greening the island, improving the ecological environment and improving the lives of officers, soldiers and people on remote islands.
The exhibition "A strip of mountains and rivers" takes place from August 15 to September 15 at the Hoan Kiem Lake Cultural Information Center.
