Located about 2.5km north of Hoi An ancient town, Tra Que was formed nearly 500 years ago. Through many historical changes, up to now, local residents still preserve traditional farming methods in the vegetable growing process.
Tra Que vegetables do not use any chemical fertilizers, they are produced in an organic, clean and safe way. Villagers only use various types of seaweed collected from the De Vong River or the downstream area of the Thu Bon River or manure to fertilize vegetables. These types of seaweed have a high and fast decomposition rate, helping to loosen the soil.
