On the morning of August 26, Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities (Cho Chua town, Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province) held the opening ceremony of the new school year.
In the 2023-2024 school year, Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities will enroll 16 more students, bringing the total to 119 students with 34 staff, teachers, and employees. In addition, the center also has a number of mental health care consultants, financial consultants, and social work support staff.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Director of Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities, said that since its inception, the center has always kept in mind that no matter how difficult it is, it will overcome it to help children with disabilities have a better life. Every year, the center provides free education for hundreds of children. They are taught culture, vocational skills, receive career guidance and practice appropriate skills to integrate into the community. To do that, the center has received support and companionship from leaders at all levels and volunteers.

Ms. Ha also expressed her gratitude to hundreds of kind-hearted people from near and far across the country who have joined hands to foster the development of the center, bringing the disabled children here the best things so that they can become good people and useful people for society in the future.
On this occasion, the sponsors presented a symbolic plaque to Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities for the 2023-2024 school year with a total amount of 1.5 billion VND.
Give gifts to students
Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities is the first non-public social protection facility established in Quang Ngai province, founded by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

After nearly 10 years of operation, with the determination to bring disabled children a meaningful life, the staff and teachers of the center have worked hard day and night, gradually overcoming all difficulties and obstacles, uniting and joining hands to devote themselves to the development of the children. Here, hundreds of disabled children are cared for and raised completely free of charge.
Children aged 13 and above are taught both reading and writing and vocational skills so that they can work and earn a living in the future. They can also return to the center to work and help disabled children younger than themselves with love and sharing.
