Director of Lao Cai Department of Natural Resources and Environment disciplined for declaring dishonest personal history

On June 24, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced that it had held the 37th meeting to consider and decide on a number of contents regarding the inspection results when there were signs of violations against Mr. Ho Cao Khai, member of the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial Agencies - Enterprises Bloc, Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee discussed and unanimously concluded that Mr. Ho Cao Khai, in his capacity as Party Committee Secretary, from June 2020 to November 2021, had not directed the organization of separate meetings of the Party Committee Standing Committee to prepare content for regular meetings of the Party Committee according to regulations (meetings of the Party Committee Standing Committee of the Department are held in conjunction with meetings of the Department's leaders) according to the working regulations of the Party Committee meeting once a month, extraordinary meetings when necessary convened by the Party Committee Standing Committee.

The appointment of civil servants, leaders and managers under the authority of the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has content that is not in accordance with the order and procedures prescribed in Decree 138-2020 of the Government on recruitment, use and management of civil servants and Decree 115-2020 of the Government on recruitment, use and management of civil servants.

Mr. Khai (did) not declare a brief resume of his application for a business trip and the resume of the person applying to join the Party regarding his violations of military discipline during his military service (February 1993).

Mr. Khai's violations have negatively affected his reputation and that of the Party organization, agency, and unit where he works.

Mr. Khai violated point h, clause 1, article 29, Regulation 69 of the Central Executive Committee regulating disciplinary action against party organizations and party members who violate: "Reporting, preparing records, declaring personal history, etc. incompletely and dishonestly. Declaring party member history that does not match one's political characteristics...".

Based on the above regulations, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee discussed and voted to discipline Mr. Ho Cao Khai in the form of a reprimand.
