Opening of the 23rd Session (special session) of the 13th Provincial People's Council

(BĐ) - This morning (April 28), at the Provincial Convention Center, the 13th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, opened the 23rd session (special session) to consider and decide on a number of important contents according to its authority. Attending the session were 50/52 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ho Quoc Dung emphasized: Implementing the policies of the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels, building a model of organizing a 2-level local government and considering and deciding on a number of contents on socio-economic development in 2025 and the following years, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council decided to convene a thematic session to consider the submissions of the Provincial People's Committee on the policy of merging and consolidating administrative units of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai provinces; the policy of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Binh Dinh province. At the same time, consider adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025, adjusting and supplementing the public investment plan for 2025 and adjusting the state budget estimate for 2025, allocating provincial budget capital to participate in the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project; policy on changing forest use to other purposes; promulgating regulations on funding levels to support the activities of the People's Inspectorate at the commune level and a number of other important contents.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ho Quoc Dung requested the Provincial People's Committee and the departments and branches assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to preside over drafting the contents of the session to report and present, focusing on key and core issues; explain and accept and clarify the opinions of the Provincial People's Council delegates to perfect the content, ensuring high consensus when passing the resolution.
