| Drum performance to open Dong Phu Temple Festival 2025. |
Dong Phu Temple and Vo Hoan Temple, Nam Dien Commune, worship the Mother Goddess Tran Thi Ngoc Tran, also known as Princess Que Hoa - a descendant of the Tran Dynasty, who taught people to weave and prescribe medicine to cure people. Thanks to her talent in making "Hong Ngoc Suong Hoan" and other "Medicinal Amulets" to treat cholera, she was awarded many royal decrees by the feudal court and honored as a Supreme Goddess. According to legend, the Mother Goddess died at the age of 21 (January 13). Her merits and reputation created a "biological legend" in the community, causing the people of Dong Phu and Vo Hoan villages to build tombs and temples to commemorate her merits. Dong Phu Temple (commonly known as the place where the Saints appear) was built next to the Amulet Market - a market formed from the ancient custom of buying medicinal amulets.

Dong Phu Festival takes place for 5 days (from the 8th to the 12th of the third lunar month). After the opening ceremony, the male and female officials open the temple, carry the palanquins of the village gods from the temples to the main temple and the worshiping ceremony, the palanquin procession takes place with the participation of many local people and tourists from all over. The festival is bustling with cultural and folk art activities such as Cheo singing, Chau Van singing, bonsai exhibition, calligraphy writing, and many traditional games and sports competitions, contributing to preserving and promoting the unique culture of Nam Dien land.
This is an important cultural event, aiming to continue to preserve and promote the historical and cultural values of Dong Phu Temple, while honoring the tradition of "remembering the source of water", arousing pride in history andeducating the younger generation to continue the good values of their ancestors./.
