From noon to afternoon, almost every restaurant is crowded with customers, mostly groups of dozens of people.

Stop by a vegetarian restaurant on this street in the afternoon, the staff is busy "at full capacity" serving customers who are packed to the tables downstairs and upstairs. Many people also stop by to buy vegetarian dishes to take away.

"Today, there are no seats left, and the upstairs is also packed, so you can see how crowded it is," said an employee who was pouring vegetarian pancakes at the restaurant.

Sharing with Thanh Nien, the restaurant said that today, although it is not a vegetarian day, the number of customers has increased dramatically by 3 times compared to normal days, everyone in the restaurant does their best to serve as best as possible. With dozens of different vegetarian dishes, the restaurant serves the diverse needs of customers from near and far.

"Most of the guests come to worship the heart relic of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc at Viet Nam Quoc Tu and stop by the restaurant. Most of them are in large groups, some of them are from the province, so they have to serve a lot of people at the same time," the restaurant shared.

Operating in Ho Chi Minh City for over 10 years, the vegetarian restaurant said this is a special occasion to serve customers, especially those who come from far away to worship. The restaurant is also ready to serve customers throughout the coming days.

Not far away, another vegetarian restaurant was also crowded. According to the people living there, today this restaurant and the neighboring restaurants were also crowded with customers.

Among the crowd visiting the Thoi Ke vegetarian restaurant on Le Hong Phong Street, there was Ms. Chi (65 years old, living in District 10). She said that although tomorrow she will join a group of about 20 people lining up to worship the heart relic of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc, this afternoon she bought dozens of banh gio to prepare in advance.

"These days, we are extremely happy to be able to pay homage to the heart relic of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc. But we have to prepare carefully so that the visit can go smoothly. My house is nearby so it is convenient. Those who live far away, especially from the province, have to go there much harder," she added.

Mrs. Chi bought vegetarian food to eat with the group tomorrow, then together they will worship the heart relic of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc.

Meanwhile, another group of dozens of guests also filled the first floor of the restaurant. Ms. Le Thi Loi (67 years old), representative of the group, said that today, the whole group was able to worship Buddha's relics and the heart relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc, so they were extremely joyful and happy.

Although they had to queue and wait, they did not feel tired but on the contrary, they were extremely happy. After worshiping, Mrs. Loi's group decided to stop by this vegetarian restaurant for a meal because it was next to Viet Nam Quoc Tu and had many customers.

"I have been a vegetarian for more than ten years now. If there is a convenient vegetarian restaurant around here, we will stop by. After finishing our meal, our whole group will return to Binh Tan and Binh Chanh. Everyone is from these two districts," she added.
