On October 15, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced the results of the 7th session (term I, term 2020 - 2025).
According to the announcement, at the meeting, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed and disciplined Mr. Le Dinh Thuan - former Director and Mr. Nguyen Huu Giang - former Deputy Director of Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company by expelling them from the Party.
Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee found that Messrs. Thuan and Giang, in the course of performing their assigned tasks, violated land regulations, causing great damage to the budget and creating bad public opinion...
After the merger, both Mr. Thuan and Mr. Giang were party members of the B'Lao ward Party Cell, Lam Dong province.
Regarding violations at Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company, at the end of October 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police prosecuted Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam District (old) - to investigate the crime of "violating regulations on land management".
For the same conduct, the Investigation Police Agency also prosecuted Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong - former Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - an officer of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the former Bao Lam district.
Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company is a private joint stock company headquartered in Loc Thang town (Bao Lam district, former Lam Dong province). The company leases land in Bao Loc city and former Bao Lam district with annual land lease payments.
On August 7, 2018, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee reclaimed 60 hectares of land leased by Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company and handed it over to local management.
However, Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien violated the policy and acted illegally in advising on the issuance of land allocation decisions and granting land use right certificates, infringing on the State's land fund and affecting local land management.
