Tour guide activities at Kim Bong carpentry village will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Visitors can choose to travel by river or road to the craft village center to learn about the history and culture of Kim Bong carpentry village; visit the traditional craft village exhibition house, boat building and repair facilities, woodworking production facilities, Cam Kim market; watch traditional craft performances and participate in activities such as wood carving, mat weaving, basket weaving, basket weaving, etc. In addition, each visitor who buys a ticket will also receive a souvenir made by Kim Bong craftsmen.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam - Director of Hoi An City Culture, Information and Tourism Center, organizing tour guide activities aims to promote the traditional historical and cultural values of Kim Bong carpentry village; forming a tourist attraction to serve the diverse needs of tourists; contributing to improving the livelihoods, increasing the income of local people and developing related services.

Recently, Hoi An city has issued decisions on approving the implementation of the Project "Building rural villages - ecological craft villages in Cam Kim commune in the period of 2021 - 2025", the Project "Restoring and developing tourism in Kim Bong carpentry village, Cam Kim commune", the Project "Developing community tourism associated with preserving indigenous cultural values and natural ecosystems in Kim Bong carpentry village, Cam Kim commune".

In addition, it also increases investment in infrastructure, landscape improvement, promotes investment and service development, provides training in knowledge and vocational skills for local people, encourages start-up models, organizes cultural activities, events and festivals locally.

In particular, in the application for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Hoi An city has proposed an initiative related to the "Kim Bong Carpentry Project - Unleashing Creativity", focusing on further developing the traditional Kim Bong carpentry village with carpentry recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

This project is expected to build a pilot model of a community tourism village with a focus on technical training, creative design support, consulting for start-up businesses and providing a vision to develop Kim Bong carpentry village into one of the city's centers of exchange and creativity.
