On the morning of September 17, in a series of events celebrating 75 years of tradition, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held the inauguration ceremony of the "Smart Governance Model at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics", starting the process of comprehensive digital transformation of the Academy and putting it into operation in the near future.
At the opening ceremony, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized that the project "Building a smart Academy governance model at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics" is a key project, aiming to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; is a comprehensive digital transformation activity in all aspects of the entire Academy system, thereby not only enhancing its role and position but also creating a model in activities based on digital technology .
In order for the smart academy management model to come into actual operation, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang requested the Management Board of "Smart Academy Management Model Construction Project" to continue to closely and resolutely manage and control quality, progress, and investment capital, and continue to promote implementation activities throughout the project completion process, putting it into operation throughout the Academy system to ensure strict compliance with legal regulations.
The project "Building a smart Academy governance model at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics" is implemented in the medium-term public investment period of 2021-2025 with a total investment of 350 billion VND, including many important items from investment in facilities, technical infrastructure to building smart software systems, large databases, comprehensively serving all aspects of work and being deployed on a scale throughout the Academy system (including the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Academy of Politics Region I, Academy of Politics Region II, Academy of Politics Region III, Academy of Politics Region IV, Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, in 4 cities across the 3 regions of the country: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho).
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, this is identified as a key project with four important goals: investing in building a modern, stable, internationally standardized information technology platform system, interconnected throughout the Academy system, able to connect and exchange with domestic and foreign systems; applying the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in smart governance in all aspects of the Academy's work; ensuring information security and safety throughout the system, meeting unified, synchronous, advanced and modern digital transformation solutions to innovate the methods and quality of education and training; improving the effectiveness of direction, administration, research and advising the Party and State leaders on strategic issues.
After nearly 3 years of investment preparation, nearly 9 months of continuous construction, with the close direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Academy, the effective coordination and support of the Ministries, departments, branches and relevant agencies, partners, and the dedicated responsibility of the contractors, up to now, the basic, core and most important items of the project have been basically completed and have begun to enter the stage of actual implementation.
