
Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health ; Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Director and Chief of Staff of the General Department of Logistics and Technology; comrade Nguyen Kha Phuc, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Pho Hien Ward; representatives of leaders of agencies, units and a large number of local people.
Participating in the program are Military Hospital 354 (General Department of Logistics and Technology) and the Young Doctors Association of Bach Mai Hospital, K Hospital, Central Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital.


The units coordinated to organize medical examinations, health consultations, and provide free medicine for more than 1,000 people at two examination points in Pho Hien ward.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen emphasized: “The joint military-civilian medical activity is a vivid demonstration of the effective coordination between the health sector and the Army in taking care of people’s health. This is an activity with profound humanistic meaning, demonstrating the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Repaying gratitude” of our nation, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity and effectively implementing social security policies.”
He suggested that medical units continue to expand the program to remote, border and island areas so that all people can enjoy quality medical services.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Kha Phuc, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Pho Hien Ward expressed his emotion and gratitude for the attention of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Defense , especially the General Department of Logistics and Technology and central hospitals.
“This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of cadres, soldiers, doctors and nurses towards the local people. Your care and sharing helps policy families, meritorious people and the poor in the area receive better health care, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, State and Army,” said comrade Nguyen Kha Phuc.


The beneficiaries of the program include people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households. The organizing committee presented 100 gifts to 50 people with meritorious services and 50 poor and near-poor households in especially difficult circumstances.

At the examination points, people are screened, have their blood pressure measured, have ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, dental, ear, nose and throat, musculoskeletal examinations, X-rays, and are given early treatment advice for acute and chronic diseases; are prescribed and given free medicine, and are instructed on how to care for and protect their health.

Mrs. Bui Thi Tin, born in 1954, residing in Cho Gao area, Pho Hien ward, emotionally shared: “I am old, in poor health, and rarely have the conditions to go to a big hospital for examination. Today, the Army and Central doctors came to my house to examine and consult, and I was also given medicine and gifts. I am very touched and grateful. I hope that this program will be organized more often so that our people can receive better health care.”

Major General Phung Ngoc Son affirmed: The "Military-Civilian Medical Combination" activity is a traditional beauty of the Vietnam People's Army, demonstrating the political responsibility and sentiment of officers and soldiers of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering towards the people, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts and minds, building a strong national defense.
This activity is a vivid demonstration of the close relationship between the Army and the people, combining military-civilian medicine, joining hands to take care of community health, contributing to building Pho Hien ward to be more civilized and prosperous.
