Examination and rehabilitation guidance for people with disabilities in Nam Nha Trang ward

On July 22, Khanh Hoa Province Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation Hospital coordinated with Nam Nha Trang Ward Health Station to organize a program to provide consultation and medical examination for people with disabilities in the ward.

At the program, more than 100 disabled people and their families, medical staff of the Ward Health Station were trained and updated with basic knowledge on how to recognize, care for and practice rehabilitation at home for disabled people such as: Common disabilities and how to prevent and detect disabilities early in the community; rehabilitation of common disabilities in the community; skills to care for disabled people at home... After the training, medical staff of the Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation organized examinations, assessments, guidance on rehabilitation exercises, survey of the need for orthopedic support devices, rehabilitation tools, intervention orientation... for 50 disabled people participating in the program.

Training in care for people with disabilities.

This activity is part of the Health sector's plan to implement the Program for Developing a Rehabilitation System in the province by 2025. The purpose is to raise public awareness of community-based rehabilitation; screening, detecting and early intervention for disabilities in infants up to 6 years old; people with disabilities are proactively rehabilitated at home, receive proper medical care, contributing to reducing the economic burden and preventing complications caused by disabilities...

Children are screened at the program.

This is the second time the program has been held in Nam Nha Trang ward since the beginning of the year. It is expected that in July, the program will be held for people in Dien Lam and Dien Tho communes.
