Discover Vietnam's luxury "ground plane"

(NLDO) - The Hanoi - Dong Hoi train is equipped with many amenities similar to business class cabins on airplanes.

On August 11, Dong Hoi Railway Transport Branch ( Quang Tri ) confirmed that the high-quality train Hanoi - Dong Hoi began its first service from August 10.

This is a 13-car train, manufactured and built entirely in Vietnam, using advanced technology - expected to become a bridge for trade and tourism between the capital and the heritage site of Quang Tri.

The train has 6 soft sleeper cars and 5 soft seat cars, each sleeper car has 28 beds - equipped with many amenities similar to business class cabins on airplanes. Free wifi system, zoned air conditioning, each sleeper has its own entertainment TV.

High-quality trains are considered luxury "ground planes" in Vietnam.

In particular, the train uses an odorless vacuum cleaning system; 360-degree rotating seats; an electronically controlled braking system to prevent wheel locking during emergency deceleration; and an axle temperature gauge to enhance operational safety.

A representative of Dong Hoi Railway Transport Branch said that in addition to investing in equipment, this train has also been comprehensively upgraded in terms of service and service style, aiming at a professional, friendly and convenient experience for passengers.

The high-quality train runs every 2 days on a railway route of more than 500 km, stopping only at some major stations. The average soft seat ticket price is 620,000 VND, and a sleeper ticket is about 1,135,000 VND/trip.

According to schedule, the Hanoi - Dong Hoi flight departs at 8:05 pm at Hanoi station and arrives at Dong Hoi station at 6:10 am the next morning.

Return: Dong Hoi - Hanoi departs at 3:20 pm, arrives at Hanoi station at 4:15 am the next morning.
