65 years ago, on May 1, 1959, the 919th Air Transport Regiment (now the 919th Flight Group) was established, becoming the first Military -Civil Aviation transport unit of Vietnam.

From the first military aircraft, the 919th Flight Group has continuously expanded its fleet, conquering the sky with modern, advanced aircraft.

65 years ago, on May 1, 1959, the 919th Transport Air Regiment (now the 919th Flight Group) was established, becoming the first Military-Civil Aviation transport unit of Vietnam. The history of the formation and development of the 919th Flight Group has gone through many stages with many different types of aircraft.

With the responsibility of participating in both combat and military transport, as well as serving special aircraft and civil activities, the aircraft of the 919th Transport Air Force Regiment - 919th Flight Squadron have left a strong mark in the history of the air force and the Vietnamese aviation industry.

Phase 1, from 1959-1975: Flight Group 919 was born and developed during the period when the North built socialism, fought to liberate the South, and unify the country.

Airbus A321 neo aircraft

(2018-present) In 2018, Vietnam Airlines mastered the operation of modern new technology narrow-body aircraft Airbus A321 neo.

Boeing B787-10 Dreamliner

(2019-present) August 2019: Received the first Boeing B787-10 Dreamliner - Boeing's world's largest wide-body aircraft.
