More than 500 audiences attended the program "Nostalgic scarves" organized by the "Weaving" student group of the communication & event organization department ( FPT Polytechnic College, Ho Chi Minh City).
Considered a bridge back to the old memories of the South, the program is a combination of music , fashion show and conversation with cultural researchers.

With the spirit and perspective of young people, the program opens an emotional journey with the mashup performance Song of the Southern Land - A Round of Vietnam combining traditional musical instruments of bamboo flute, zither with modern musical instruments such as cello, along with vivid illustrations by the dance troupe.

Traditional and modern music are also harmoniously combined on the stage of "Khạn rần thương nhớ" through a series of songs: Huong lua mien Nam , Nang gio phuong Nam, Huong sac mien Nam, Xuoi dong Cuu Long, Mot khuc Tay Nam or the rap Westside Music Cypher .
The interesting contrast between the performances further highlights the meaning of preserving tradition and continuing generations in preserving identity.

The highlight of the program was the performance of two ao dai collections inspired by the checkered scarf by designer Nguyen Viet Hung.
The first collection “Turbans in the Resistance War” fully expresses the resilient and indomitable spirit of a time of war with hot hearts and fierce patriotism. Images of swamps, cajuput forests, and coconut forests remind viewers of old war zones or the image of the heroic long-haired army of the past.
Meanwhile, the second collection “ Turbans in everyday life ” is a modern, dynamic ao dai style combining scarf patterns with famous landmarks.

In the program, cultural researcher Nham Hung shared about the presence of the checkered scarf in the resistance war and the life of the Southern community.
He emphasized that the checkered scarf is not only a familiar item, but also a sustainable cultural symbol closely associated with the identity of the Southern people. To preserve and promote this value, it is necessary to bring the checkered scarf back into modern life naturally through education , art and especially the continuation of the young people in the future.
