The Nha Trang Bay Management Board has sent an urgent notice to more than 300 owners of tourist vehicles operating at inland waterway ports. The information is disseminated through many channels: loudspeakers broadcast continuously at the ports, sent via Zalo group for the fastest reception by vehicle owners, and at the same time, updated weather developments at each time.

"We are coordinating with Khanh Hoa Inland Waterways Port Authority to temporarily suspend departure procedures for passenger vehicles when there are warnings of big waves and strong winds. In case of non-compliance with evacuation requests, we will make a record, report to the Disaster Prevention Command and coordinate enforcement," said Mr. Van.
In addition to warnings, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board has instructed vehicles to move to safe anchorage areas and limit activities during extreme weather. The work of checking, checking, and reinforcing facilities and equipment at inland waterway ports has been thoroughly carried out. The unit has organized 24/7 duty and assigned staff to directly supervise the ports.

In Nha Trang Ward, on the morning of November 5, Mr. Tran Xuan Tay, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, requested the authorities to resolutely enforce the cases of those who do not voluntarily return to shore, ensuring that no people are left at sea before 12 noon on November 6. At the same time, banning people's boats from operating from November 6 and strictly managing, not allowing people to return to aquaculture cages while the storm is still going on.
"It is especially necessary to focus on responding to storms on islands and sea areas in the ward. Authorities must have measures to approach islanders when an emergency situation occurs," Mr. Tay emphasized.
According to forecasts, storm number 13 Kalmaegi will have winds of level 14, gusts of level 17 when it makes landfall from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak on November 7, causing very heavy rain of 300 - 500 mm, locally 600 mm.
