Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) announced: All vehicles are prohibited from passing through Co Ma tunnel and Ca pass because the section of National Highway 1 in the East of Dak Lak province (formerly Phu Yen province) is deeply flooded.

On the same day, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police informed that in the early morning of November 20, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4 was on duty to respond to floods in Dien Khanh commune when they discovered a 40-seat passenger bus threatened by floodwaters in the Cau Lung area on National Highway 1.
Car with license plate 76B-009XX of Chin Nghia Company, traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Ngai , suddenly lost control due to strong currents.
There were 30 passengers and 3 crew members on board. The vehicle was at very high risk of being swept away.
Rescue forces quickly approached, removed all 33 people from the car and moved each person to a safe location.
