Khanh Hoa establishes 40 new commune and ward preparatory committees

On the afternoon of June 3, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to establish the Preparatory Committee for communes and wards; thoroughly implement a number of key tasks to prepare for the merger of new communes and wards.

Accordingly, there are 40 new commune and ward preparatory committees (abbreviated as preparatory committees) established by the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, including Standing members of district, town, city Party Committees and Standing members of new commune-level Party Committees (expected); in which, the Standing members of the preparatory committee include Standing members of new commune-level Party Committees (expected).

The preparatory committee is responsible for organizational and personnel work (planning to assign Party committee members and members of the Party Standing Committee at the commune level to take on leadership positions in affiliated agencies and units after the merger; developing a personnel plan for leaders and managers under the management of the Party Committee at the commune level); preparing congress documents; arranging and setting up working offices, handling finances and public assets, managing documents and files;... and self-dissolving after completing its tasks.

In the list of 40 Preparatory Committees announced, there are many leaders and managers at the provincial department, branch and sector levels participating in key leadership positions in newly established communes and wards.

According to the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units in Khanh Hoa province, there are 41 grassroots administrative units formed after the arrangement, including: Nha Trang city with 4 wards; Cam Ranh city with 1 commune; 4 wards; Ninh Hoa town with 5 communes, 3 wards, Van Ninh district with 5 communes; Dien Khanh district with 6 communes; Cam Lam district with 4 communes; Khanh Vinh district with 5 communes; Khanh Son district with 3 communes; forming Truong Sa special zone on the basis of the current status of Truong Sa island district.

After merging Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces, Khanh Hoa province (new) will have a natural area of ​​more than ^8,555 km2, a population of 2.23 million people and 65 commune-level administrative units (including 48 communes, 16 wards, 1 special zone).
